It’s finals day of the 2025 World Squash Junior Championships as the battle to be crowned World Champion reaches a thrilling conclusion in Cairo.

Play begins at 14:00 (GMT+3) on the all-glass show court at Black Ball Sporting Club and will be streamed live and free on WORLDSQUASH.TV (excluding Egypt, KSA, Pakistan, UAE), Myco and ON Sport.

In the women’s final, the first of two all-Egyptian affairs, top seed Amina Orfi faces 3/4 seed Nadien Elhammamy.

Orfi goes into today’s match knowing she is just one win away from achieving something that no other squash player has managed: winning four World Juniors titles.

The World No.5, who won the competition for the first time as a 15-year-old in 2022, is currently level on titles with national icon Nour El Sherbini and will be champing at the bit to cement her status as a generational talent.

Elhammamy, who was defeated by Orfi in the semi-finals of last year’s competition, goes into today’s clash as the underdog, but will be have taken heart from an impressive 3-0 over No.2 seed Anahat Singh last night.

The men’s final, meanwhile, pits defending champion Mohamad Zakaria against 3/4 seed Marwan Asal in the pair’s first official meeting.

Like Orfi, Zakaria comes into today’s match as one of the highest rated juniors in a generation. The 17-year-old, who last year became the youngest ever winner of the men’s event, is already World No.14 and has not dropped a game at World Juniors in his last 12 matches in a run going back to the 2023 final.

Asal, meanwhile, is playing in his first World Juniors final. The 17-year-old came through an intense five-game battle with compatriot and 9/16 seed Adham Roshdy last night but has proved he can test anyone when on song, with a tight four-game loss to World No.8 Youssef Soliman at the El Gouna International this season a testimony to his tenacity.

In addition to today’s final matches, plate finals are also taking place.
